A Retro Melon Cocktail

I developed this cocktail for a springtime, outdoor birthday party for a friend.   This drink feels so retro to me.  I remember when I was a kid, my mom would occasionly make a drink by mixing a little melon liquor with 7-Up.  It seemed so fancy.  The color was special.  With Mad Men back on for the season, I snagged a bottle and set out to make a light, fresh afternoon cocktail.  So simple . . .

Recipe:

• 1/2 bottle dry white wine
• 1/2 bottle of melon liquor
• 1/2 bottle of 7-Up
• 1/2 cup diced honeydew melon
• 1/2 cup diced cantelope

Mix in a pitcher.  Refrigerate.
